Nike Air Monarch IV – Men’s

Description

Nike’s Most Popular Shoe
The Nike Air Monarch IV might be regarded as the greatest dad shoe of all time, but it has a backstory that is much more than that of a regular-guy sneaker. The original Nike Air Monarch, designed by veteran Nike designer Rob Dolan, was released in the early 2000s as Nike’s attempt at creating the perfect all-day, everyday shoe. After a few years, young Jason Mayden took on its redesign. Sneaker enthusiasts might recognize Mayden’s name for his work designing Air Jordan models, but it was the Air Monarch that he really cut his teeth on. It was Mayden’s efforts that took a relatively unknown sneaker and set it on a course to become one of the best-selling shoes. Worn by professional athletes like Adam Jones and Russell Westbrook, with exclusive colorways for football coach Pete Carol, and a huge Instagram response with Homer-Simpson-inspired customs, the Air Monarch IV has become one of Nike’s most recognizable silhouettes.
